You probably do know what a URL is, but just don't know that you know.
A URL is a web address, such as http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0406/.
The first part of the URL, http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov, is called the domain name.
To post a picture just get the URL of the picture itself, such as http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0406/q4m44_westlake_big.jpg (q4m44_westlake_big.jpg is the name of the picture), click "Image" on the JoeUser toolbar, paste it into the "Script Prompt" box and click OK.
Note: URLs for pictures always end with picture extensions, such as ".jpg" or ".gif".
To post a picture already available on the Internet, such as http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0406/q4m44_westlake_big.jpg, you first have to find the URL. There are two ways to do this.
If the picture doesn't link to anything (that is, clicking on it doesn't take you to another webpage), then you can click on the picture, it will appear alone in your browser window and then you can copy the URL out of the "Address" bar in you browser.
If the picture in question DOES link to another page then you CANNOT just click on the picture. The easiest way to get the URL will be to click "View", then select "Source" in your browser's main toolbar (i.e. "File", "Edit, "VIEW", "Favorites" etc.). A notepad window -- with all the code for the webpage you are viewing -- will appear.
Don't worry, just search for ".jpg" or ".gif" until you find the a picture with the appropriate name. You can search in Notepad by clicking "Edit", then selecting "Find".
Copy the URL. If the URL begins with use a "/" or a "../" you'll have to add the domain name. That is, "/apod/image/0406/q4m44_westlake_big.jpg" becomes "http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0406/q4m44_westlake_big.jpg", or "../apod/image/0406/q4m44_westlake_big.jpg" becomes "http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0406/q4m44_westlake_big.jpg".
Once you have the URL just follow the instructions above, click "Image" on the JoeUser toolbar, paste it into the "Script Prompt" box and click OK.
If you want to post pictures of your own, you'll have to have a "hosting" service to store them. A hosting service provide you with space on a server, connected to the Internet, so that when people load your blog the picture will also be downloaded from the service's server.
You save the picture to their server, then copy the URL where it is stored into JoeUser.
Hope this isn't to complicated, just start off easy with the first picture you find.

Thank you for that info but that was very confusing to read and I still have no clue what to do. All my personal pics have been scanned onto my computer and have been givin names so I do not have docs labeled with http or anything else you said. When i go into my computer and click on my D drive-which is where all my pics are- all i see is the name of the photo. So, if a photo is labeled doc11 in my D drive how do I get the url.
sincerly,
Still URL challenged.

DiY,
The problem here is that you have to have your pictures posted somewhere on-line (like Yahoo Photos). It will not work if you just have them on your hard drive. I have gone so far as to set up a small web-server on my home PC, so that the pictures can be accessed directly from here. Most people will not have the technical inclination to pull that off.
What you need to do is this...go to Yahoo and look for their photos section. Sign up with them, and they'll give you an account where you can upload some pictures to them.
When you have done that, then you can link to them. When you write a blog or response, in the edit window is an "Image" button. What you need to do with that is press it. Then on your Yahoo Photos, right-click on a picture and select Properties. There you will see a web address, which is the location of that picture online. Copy that by highlighting it and pressing Ctrl-C. Then paste that long string of letters and numbers into the box that pops up when you press the image button.
The picture should now display. Give it a try, and if you have any issues, I'll check back on this thread tomorrow and see what we can do to help.

I tried that B, I went to yahoo, downloaded my pic there and got the letters and numbers you were saying, I hit the image button and put the suposed URL in the long box, but it showed up as a little box with an X in the middle. I know that means you wont see it. So i must still be doing somthing wrong.
WHY OH WHY ARE COMPUTERS SO DAMB HARD TO FIGURE OUT.?.?

Try using a programme called Hello at www.hello.com it's a free photo programme that allows you to load pics from your pc onto the blog with just a click. I use it often for my other site and haven't found anything easier as of yet. Is also good to exchange photos with friends whilst chatting. Good luck.
